App 2. Annual Registration & Fees

DETAILS BELOW AGREED DURING THE AGM

Membership fees cover the following, between mid-August and end-June each year:

Club affiliation fees to basketballscotland which includes public liability insurance

Player registration fees which includes personal accident insurance

Competition entry fees for the club

Training sessions, normally 2 hours each week, supervised by qualified coaches

Training venue hire fees are paid in advance for 10 week block bookings in order to take advantage of VAT savings

Appropriate administration and miscellaneous costs

Additional costs not covered by membership fee:

As we are only entering the Cup competitions and weekend Tournaments this season, it is impossible to budget for the game and travel costs. We do not know how many rounds we are going to play.

Therefore we have reduced the annual membership fee to cover only the registration, entry, administration & training costs and all players selected for competitions will have to make an equal contribution towards the travel/venue/official costs for each game.

Supporters accompanying the teams to away games will also be asked to make a contribution to travel costs.

If our income through the year, from membership fees and fundraising, is sufficient we will look at subsidising the match costs.

Summer off-season training sessions through July and up to the mid-August return to school are outside the regular season and will be charged at a PAYG rate that will enable us to cover the venue hire costs.

Annual membership fees

The standard annual membership fee agreed at the AGM is £TBA, covering the period Aug 2009 to June 2010, and is due at the time of application unless the member chooses to pay in instalments. See payment options below.

We may also need a special membership fee to cover players out of the area at college/work who do not train regularly, that would simply cover registration and admin costs.

Payment options:

A single payment of £TBA by 31st October

An initial payment of £TBA by 31st October and two payments of £TBA due on 1st February and 1st April.

A monthly direct debit of £TBA

Non-members can train and will be asked for a Pay as You Go fee of £3 per session — they will not be eligible to play in any competitions. However, we would much prefer all those attending training to become club members in order to fully benefit from the clubs services and insurance.
